Index

The index as a series, and each epoch's checkpoint in full: its lifecycle, its cohort and its hashes.

The series#

The top of the Index view summarizes the final checkpoints: how many have been read, their mean, their median and the highest. The chart below draws the most recent epochs as bars, with a line at the mean and the same marks for status as the Trade chart.

Select any bar to open that epoch.

One epoch#

The detail panel shows:

  • The rate in percent per epoch, with the tips and the stake it came from.
  • The lifecycle from posted to final, including any challenge and how it was ruled, and when the challenge window closes.
  • The cohort: each validator's vote account and the stake attested for it.
  • Facts and hashes: the proposer, the observed slot, the evidence hash, the source hash, and any challenge or resolution hashes.

The source hash commits to every tip account the program read, its root and its total, in cohort order. Anyone can recompute it from chain data. See Index method.

Index settings#

At the bottom, the Index settings card lists the cohort, the challenge window, the publication deadline, both bonds, the rate ceiling, the liquidation reserve and the authorities. The same values are on Parameters, with what each one does.
